Looking For a Better Way to Keep Your Dam’s Trash Racks Clean?
Keeping your facility’s Trash Racks clear is imperative to the health of your turbines and the efficiency of your power generation. But, traditional Trash Rack cleaning methods, like hiring excavators or boom trucks, are labor-intensive, expensive, inconvenient, and come with major risk of damaging the Trash Racks. That’s why we have partnered with Enerquip as their North American partner to supply, install, and maintain Trash Rack Cleaning Machines (TRCM). With our help, TRCM's keep your water running smoothly without the risk of damage to your Trash Racks.
What is a Track Rack Cleaning Machine (TRCM)?
A Trash Rack Cleaning Machine is an automated system specifically designed to remove debris from the trash racks that protect water intake points in hydroelectric plants, irrigation systems, and other facilities reliant on water flow. TRCM’s, often hydraulic or electric, efficiently clear the debris by using rakes or claws that can travel the full height of the trash racks, floating and pushing debris up to a designated disposal area. This automated solution reduces labor costs and operational downtime and is a gentler, more efficient alternative to manual or heavy equipment removal, which often risks damaging the racks themselves.
Discover Which Enerquip TRCM Model is Right For Your Organization:
LOKE TRCM
The Enerquip Loke TRCM is suitable for small power plants with small waste fractions.
The Loke TRCM offers the same functionality as larger models at a more affordable price point.
Easily operated by remote control or fully automated, the TRCM provides efficient and gentle cleaning of trash racks. Its cleaning claw, powered solely by its weight and water pressure, works effectively to remove debris.
The cleaning process begins at the top of the trash rack and progresses downward. Once the claw reaches the bottom, it closes to capture waste, which is then transported to the surface and discharged at the desired location.
The TRCM is also capable of being driven outward into the water’s surface.
Available in both 100% electric and hydraulic versions.
FROYA TRCM
The Enerquip Frøya TRCM is developed for small water intakes and trash racks.
The machine is equipped with a blade designed to remove grass, twigs, and leaves that can obstruct water intake trash racks.
Easy to install, maintain, and affordably priced, the Frøya TRCM is an excellent solution for small power plants with small water intakes that do not require the removal of heavy waste like floating logs.
The Frøya TRCM demands minimal maintenance and is user-friendly, with an easily accessible control panel.
It can be operated remotely or fully automatically using flow sensors on the water intake and gate.
Powered by a 3 kW electric motor, the Enerquip Frøya TRCM eliminates the need for hydraulic installation.
ODIN TRCM
The Enerquip Odin TRCM is for water intake and trash racks with medium-sized waste fractions from grass, twigs, leaves, and smaller logs.
The Enerquip Odin TRCM is a highly robust yet user-friendly machine that has become the best-selling TRCM model. It offers excellent all-around strength for slightly more demanding intakes.
This machine shares the same functionality as larger models and can be operated automatically using sensors or by remote control.
The weight of the claw and water pressure are the only forces applied to the trash racks. The claw features a plastic wear plate to prevent damage to the trash racks during the top-to-bottom cleaning process.
The machine operates by lowering the hydraulic claw onto the trash racks to recover waste, which is then lifted away.
The Odin TRCM is available in various options and designs to accommodate different water intake and trash rack configurations.
Enerquip is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and high-performance products with a compact design.
THOR TRCM
The Enerquip Thor TRCM is for larger water intakes and trash racks that need to handle deep, large waste fractions with heavy logs, waste, and etc.
The Enerquip Thor TRCM is a highly robust machine with exceptional lifting capacity.
Powered by powerful hydraulic cylinders, the Enerquip Thor TRCM utilizes a claw to grasp waste and lift it away from the intake and trash racks.
The trash rack loading is controlled hydraulically to prevent any damage to the trash rack blades.
A wear plate is located beneath the claw to protect the trash racks from damage.
The Enerquip Thor TRCM can be easily operated using a remote control or in automatic mode, with sensors monitoring water flow.
The hydraulic claw operates securely and efficiently, applying minimal pressure to the trash racks—only its own weight and water pressure.
The Thor TRCM is available in various options and designs to accommodate different water intake and trash rack configurations.
BALDER
The Enerquip Balder TRCM is developed for large waste fractions like grass, twigs, leaves and full-sized logs up to 2000 kg and beyond.
Enerquip Balder TRCM Models 1 and 2 are designed for power plants that require flexibility and the need to clean numerous small and medium water intakes and trash racks. These intakes and racks often accumulate significant waste, ranging from grass and twigs to heavy logs (up to 2000 kg), but we have increased capacities available upon request.
The Balder TRCM is ideal for customers who need a versatile machine that can be easily moved between multiple intakes.
The weight of the claw and water pressure are the only forces applied to the trash racks. A camera can be mounted inside the claw to provide continuous monitoring during operations.
The claw features a plastic wear plate to protect the trash racks from damage.
The machine operates by lowering the claw onto the trash racks and extending the telescopic booms to the bottom. The hydraulic claw then removes the waste, which is subsequently lifted and removed.
Enerquip is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and high-performance products with a compact design.
